Training & Licensing
Melodicus Expressive Integration-MEI™ is an original clinical system with a structured training, certification, and licensing pathway designed to preserve the integrity of the method and support accurate clinical application.
The method is derived from Dagmar Rothschild’s original musical, poetic, and acoustic framework, which serves as the creative and symbolic source of the work. From this foundation, rhythm, resonance, melodic contour, expressive voice, and acoustic structure are translated into clinical principles, therapeutic materials, and structured applications for speech, language, and voice therapy.
Within this framework, The Heart’s Journey Art-Object Book, Toolkit and Emotional Solfège represent structured clinical applications of the method. They extend its acoustic, expressive, symbolic, and clinical logic into therapeutic materials, session work, and specialized training.
Because the method is proprietary, formal use of its name, materials, clinical applications, and training pathways requires authorization through the appropriate certification and/or licensing structure.
The method and its associated names, clinical materials, training pathways, written content, visual materials, audio materials, and clinical applications are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, adapted, distributed, taught, or incorporated into other programs, in whole or in part, without prior written permission. Trademark registration is currently pending.
The Heart’s Journey Toolkit + Foundations Certification
The Heart’s Journey Toolkit is the first clinical application of the method.
It is a clinical art-object storybook, acoustic-emotional journey, and card-based therapeutic toolkit designed for clinicians working at the intersection of:
speech-language development,
voice,
emotion,
sound,
symbolic expression,
original music,
and therapeutic storytelling.
The Foundations Certification trains clinicians to use the toolkit with intention, structure, and therapeutic sensitivity. Completion may lead to certification in foundational clinical use of The Heart’s Journey Toolkit.

Qualified clinicians may pursue advanced certification and/or licensing for specific Melodicus clinical materials, toolkit applications, and therapeutic protocols.
